The Town of Cowpens held a special meeting for a budget workshop on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Present were Mayor Jarred S. Spencer, and Council Member Lesa C. Bolin, Pam Camp, and Danyelle D. Goode. Absent: Mayor Pro-Tem Erin P. Wofford. Mayor Spencer called the meeting to order and held prayer.
- Lesa C. Bolin made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Pam Camp and carried.
- Chief Wayne Meredith discussed his department budget with the mayor and town council. Discussion included salaries, medical expenses, the mandate for new radios, and the need to replace two vehicles.
- The mayor and town council continued to review the income for 2026-2027, as well as expenses in each department.
- ADJOURNMENT: Pam Camp made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Lesa C. Bolin, and carried.
